The General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) are being introduced in May 2018 to provide you with greater control over the collection and use of your personal data. Your privacy is important to me and I am committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected, so my Privacy Policy sets out how I (Hester Cox - Printmaker) use and protect any information that may be collected about you when you visit my website or subscribe to my email list, and explains how you can manage this information.
If you would like me to let you know about my exhibitions and workshops, you can give me your consent to do this by entering your email address in the space provided on the Contact page of this website and clicking 'Subscribe'. The only information I ask for is your email address.
Previously, if you have visited one of my exhibitions/open studios/art fairs and asked to be put on my mailing list, or if you have bought something from me, I have also added your name to my email list. If you wish to remove your email address from my mailing list, please let me know using the contact form on my website or by clicking the 'Unsubscribe' button on my newsletter.
What do I do with your email address?
I only ever use your email address to send you a newsletter (generally quarterly) which will have details about exhibitions and workshops that I am doing. I will never share your information with anyone else and I will not use it for any other purpose. If you no longer wish to receive emails from me, you can click to unsubscribe via the 'Unsubscribe' button on my newsletter or you can contact me to inform me via the contact page of my website and I will make sure that your details are removed within 30 days.
Where your information is safely stored
I keep the information you have provided safe in the following way:
When you subscribe to my mailing list via my website I receive an email directly to let me know. I then add your details to my mailing list which is operated by Mailchimp (an online secure campaign manager service) where it is stored and password protected. I then delete from my personal email the original contact from my website. When I want to send you emails about my exhibitions and workshops I use the secure service provided by Mailchimp to send them on my behalf. They are compliant with the GDPR regulations.
