2-Day Collagraph Printmaking Workshop

Where: Masham Methodist Hall, Masham, North Yorkshire
Cost: £75 for two days
The first day will include a brief introduction by Hester to her work and and explanation of what a collagraph is. This will be followed by the demonstration of various techniques that can be used to create a landscape collagraph. Participants will spend the rest of the day constructing their plates with Hester's guidance. The second day will begin with a reminder demonstration of the inking and printing of a collagraph plate and then participants will get the chance to print the plates they made the day before using the etching press. Hester has taught a number of different printmaking workshops for adults and in schools. The workshops are always fun and the great results achieved invariably surprise those new to printmaking! The course is suitable for both complete beginners and more experienced artists. It costs £75 for the two-days and lasts from 10 am to 4 pm. There are breaks for tea, coffee and biscuits and an excellent buffet lunch which is included in the course payment. All materials will be supplied and extra paper will be available to buy at cost.
